On October 15, 2020, the seminar on "strengthening cultural exchanges and Promoting Sino-US friendship" was held in Peace Garden Museum, Beijing. Representatives from of culture, diplomacy, health, aerospace science and technology, entrepreneurs and other industries attended the seminar.
Dr. Li Ruohong, chairman of China World Peace Foundation and president of Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, first made a welcome speech . He said: the current world situation is diverse and changeable. It is the consensus of the international community to strengthen solidarity and exchanges, and to implement multilateralism and cooperation. The cause of peace and cultural exchanges need more participation and promotion. Today, experts and scholars from all walks of life gather in the Peace Garden Museum with the theme of people's diplomacy. They hope to bring their respective forces together from different fields and professions, and carry out peace public welfare action with the concept of "peace + 1", so as to form consensus and to develop in solidarity.
Gao Zhanxiang, chairman of Chinese Culture Promotion Society and former Minister of culture, said in his speech: here is not only a unique and characteristic museum and art gallery with its own style, but also an important window for world peace and cultural exchanges. People's peace loving hearts are interlinked. I have written "Ode to peace", "long live world peace" Symphony, and a long peace poem flying with Shenzhou-6 in 45 circles around the earth, because peace is an eternal theme. Loving our motherland, loving peace, caring for others, helping others and living a healthy life are our common goals and directions.
We have been doing cultural work for many years and visited many museums. But today we are very happy and educated. Everyone should pay attention to the Peace Garden Museum and make it an important window and base for China to advocate and safeguard peace. Wish Peace Garden Museum become more and more prosperous, and be shining more brilliantly in the cause of world peace. No matter the old people with silver hair and vigorous spirit, or the young people who are brave in innovation, they need to combine happiness with peace and make their due contribution to the happiness of mankind.
Du Dongliang, vice president of China Youth Daily, introduced the deeds and achievements of experts and scholars of different fields who attended the seminar. The representatives also expressed their views and suggestions on their familiar areas, having warm discussions and exchanges in the aspects from international cooperation, cultural exchanges and health .
Prof. Song Min and her husband Prof. Wu Guangxing also donated the art work "signature portrait of old Bush" created and collected by themselves to Peace Garden Museum. Professor Song Min and the guests present agreed that Peace Garden museum is the best destination for this painting.
All participants share their academic opinions on international exchanges, Cosmos technology, human health, emergency rescue, religious culture, overseas Chinese Affairs and the cultural interaction along the Belt&Road. We have agreed that today's seminar is a prelude to the future. We will work together to develop exchanges and cooperation.
